Said Jafari Summoned to the Court

HRANA News Agency – The initial sentence of 18 months imprisonment on charges of insulting the president and other officials for Said Jafari, resident of Gonbad-e-Kavus was confirmed. He was summoned to police as well as the third branch of the Public Revolutionary Court for unknown reasons.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Said Jafari, resident of Gonbad-e-Kavus had been sentenced to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment on charges of insulting the president and other officials which was confirmed by Branch 104 of the Penal Court of the city of Gonbad-e-Kavus. Illegal Detention of Village Council Member Led to Protests

HRANA News Agency – Illegal detention of a member of the council of Farsi village in Hormozgan province led to the gathering and protests by people. In the wake of the protests and by the intervention of the security council authorities, the detainee was released and was welcomed by the people.

Mehdi and Hossain Rajabian Begin Serving their Sentences in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Two artist brothers, Mehdi and Hossain Rajabian, filmmaker and musician, were summoned to Evin prison to serve their three years in prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mehdi Rajabian, musician and his brother Hossain Rajabian, filmmaker were summoned to Evin prison in order to serve their three years in prison. Teymoor Khaledian Insulted and Beaten in the Court

HRANA News Agency – Teymoor Khaledian was insulted and beaten after an argument with security guards when he was entering the Revolutionary Court in Malayer about 3 weeks ago. The prosecutor accused him of disturbing the court order and after a night of detention and formation of a new file, released him on the bail.

Mohammad Mozaffari Sentenced to Imprisonment, Lashes and Fine

HRANA News Agency – Based on a verdict issued by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, political activist, Mohammad Mozaffari was sentenced to two years imprisonment, 20 million IRR fine and 74 lashes.

Mohammad Najafi Acquitted in One of Three Cases

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Najafi, a lawyer and human rights activist was acquitted of the allegation of “7 disciplinary violations” at branch number 3 of law enforcement court of Markazi province. This was one of the three cases that the lawyer is prosecuted on the basis of them.

A Poet Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohammadreza Haj Rostambeiglo, the poet who had been arrested in December 2015, was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment by the court in his absence.
