Soliman Pirooti Returned to Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – Soliman Pirooti, Sunni prisoner in Rajai Shahe prison in Karaj who had been taken to the hospital following a heart attack, was returned to the prison on July 28, while the Intelligence Office of Mahabad notified his death in the hospital to his family. His mother and wife are in the hospital after the shock of receiving the false news.

Motalen Ahmadian’s Temporary Detention Extended Again
HRANA News Agency – The temporary detention of Motaleb Ahmadian, political prisoner in Saghez prison was extended once again, despite five years of uncertainty. The political prisoner in Sanandaj prison was transferred to Saghez prison on May 3, and simultaneously was interrogated about a new case but still no court has been formed for him.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Motaleb Ahmadian, political prisoner in Sanandaj prison was transferred to Saghez prison on May 3, and simultaneously was interrogated about a new case and still after five years of detention his temporary detention has been extended yet once again.
A close source to the prisoner told HRANA’s reporter: “In the new case he has not been sent to the court so far.”
Motaleb Ahmadian, 31, from Baneh, was arrested on October 5, 2010, and after about 230 days in solitary confinement, on the charge of combat through membership in Kurdish parties, was sentenced to 31 years imprisonment and exile to Minab prison. He also, has a separate case, and is facing the charge of involvement in homicide, the charge that he has denied.
Dozens of Sunni Prisoners Executed in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj; Additional Information
HRANA News Agency – Lack of transparency of Iranian judiciary has caused a confusion about the fate of death row Sunni prisoners who had been taken to solitary confinements on Monday. In the newest remarks, the Attorney General has declared the number of executed prisoners to be 20. Such a high number of executions is in itself rare.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after 36 death row Sunni prisoners were taken unexpectedly to solitary confinements of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, the families of at least 21 of them were summoned to the prison for the last visit. However none of them managed to show up in the prison because of long distances and abnormal rush in carrying out the executions. At Least 7 Activists Still under Detention in Tabriz and Uremia
HRANA News Agency – 25 to 15 civilians who were arrested during the protests which were held in the past few days in Tabriz and Uremia have been released. However, at least 7 others are still under arrest.
