HRANA News Agency – Sirwan and Shirzad Hossein Panahi, the two Kurdish civic activists have been sentenced to 6 months of prison charged with propaganda against the government in the revolutionary court of Karaj.

A political activist is arrested in Tabriz
oHRANA News Agency – Abdollah Sadoughi, a political activist living in Tabriz, has been arrested on 13th May.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abdollah Sadoughi was already sentenced to 1 year of prison by the revolutionary court of Tabriz.

Ghaleb Hosseini, the labor rights activist is released
HRANA News Agency – Ghabel Hosseini, the labor rights activist has been released on the bail.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ghaleb Hosseini has been released on the bail of 150 million Thomans after a 2 months detention in the intelligence of Sanandaj.
He was arrested on March 19th in his work place.
More pressure on Evin political prisoners
HRANA News Agency – Following the recent protests of the prisoners, there is more pressure been put on the prisoners of section 350 of Evin prison.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after the protests of the political prisoners in the section 350 of Evin prison which resulted transfer of 10 of them to solitaries for 10 days, an intelligence agent who has introduced himself as “Abbasi” is in this section some days during each week, calling the prisoners and threatening them not to participate in any kind of protest. HRANA News Agency – Supreme administrational court abolished the exile verdict of Mokhtar Asadi which was issued by education administration of Kurdistan province.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), in December education administration of Kurdistan province issued the exile verdict of Mokhtar Asadi the activist in teacher’s union for the fifthe year, but he appealed the verdict and the supreme administrational court abolished it. HRANA News Agency – Roien Otoofat the Melli-Mazhabi prisoner visited his family after three months.
According to a report of Melli-Mazhabi website, the family of this Melli-Mazhabi prisoner was able to visit him behind the windows of visitation cabin after three months of detention.

Attorney Masoud Shams Nejad is arrested in Orumieh
HRANA News Agency – Masoud shams Nejad, an attorney and on the faculty of Payam Nour and Azad universities in Orumieh, was arrested on Thursday May 9, 2013 and transferred to Orumieh prison after initial interrogation.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), shams Nejad is currently in Orumieh prison and since his transfer there all phone contacts from the ward he is incarcerated in have been cut off. Taxi drivers are on strike in Sanandaj
HRANA News Agency – The taxi drivers have stopped their cars from Nobovvat to Sirus streets of Sanadaj and gathered in front of the taxi management organization from 9 to 11 am yesterday.
