HRANA News Agency – On August 25, 2014, Massoud Kordpour returned to Mahabad Prison at the conclusion of his furlough. His request for an extension has been denied.
On November 9, the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad convicted Massoud and Khosro Kordpour on charges of conspiracy and incitement against the Islamic regime. Both brothers are two jailed Iranian journalists and Kurdish activists.
The judge sentenced Massoud to three years in prison on charges of conspiracy and six months for incitement. Likewise, Khosro received five years on charges of conspiracy and one year for incitement. Khosro was exiled to a prison in Tabriz to serve his term.
Currently, Massoud is behind bars in Mahabad Prison, and Khosro is in Tabriz Prison. “Khosro has been denied furlough so far,” a member of the family said. “He is being held with regular inmates.”

Warders broke the leg of a prisoner in Rajaei Shahr prison
HRANA News Agency – Alireza Rezaei, the prisoner who is charged with murder, was beaten by prison warders and transferred to solitary confinement with a broken leg.

HRANA News Agency – 6 political activists have been arrested on April 9, 2014 at their homes in Shahriar in Karaj.

Arjang Davoodi in bad health condition
HRANA News Agency – Arjang Davoodi is suffering from high blood sugar and lipid and has not received proper medical treatment yet.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Arjang Davoodi has been serving 10 years so far and was recently sentenced to death because of his activities inside the prison. 64-year old Sunni prisoner in critical condition
HRANA News Agency – Prison officials at Iran’s Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj have prevented a 64-year old Sunni prisoner from receiving adequate medical care despite his rapidly deteriorating health condition.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sunni prisoner of conscience Keykhosro Sharifipour has been suffering from an unknown illness since 6 August 2014, and has been unable to eat for at least 15 days.
