2 Imprisoned Brothers in Critical Health Condition in Sanandaj Prison

HRANA News Agency – Hossain Daneshmand and Hasan Daneshmand were arrested in Tehran and Marivan by Iranian Revolutionary Guards. While the brothers were transferred to Sanandaj Prison, Hussein Daneshmand suffered from bleeding of kidney and severe pains and has been deprived of basic health care.
According to a report received by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hossain Daneshmand and Hasan Daneshmand who were arrested in Tehran and Marivan by Iranian Revolutionary Guards, were transferred to Sanandaj Prison on November 10. The Campaign of ‘Rights of Prisoners’ Launched by a Letter of Atena Daemi

HRANA News Agency – Recently a campaign with the hashtag #right-of-prisoner with the aim of calling the head of prisons to respect the rights of inmates such as access to health care, has been launched based on the international law. The campaign has been organized on the basis of Atena Daemi’s letter before going to jail, by United for Iran.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Atena Daemi, jailed human rights activist wrote in a letter: “Today some of the bravest and most committed citizens are imprisoned because of their political, civil and human rights activities and authorities are refusing the provision of health care to prisoners by clearly violating domestic and international laws. A Prisoner Committed Suicide and Died in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – On December 5, a 28-year-old prisoner from Kouhdasht in Lorestan who was serving his life sentence in Rajai Shahr prison committed suicide. The prisoner died before being transferred to the medical centers.

No Information about Zartosht Ahmad Ragheb’s Situation

HRANA News Agency – Zartosht (Ismail) Ahmad Ragheb, civil rights activist who was arrested on November 13, 2016, only informed his family that he was being kept in ward 209 of Evin prison by a phone call and his situation is unknown.

Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam Returned to the Prison Without Proper Treatment

HRANA News Agency – Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam, Shiite Marja and dissident cleric, was returned to Saheli prison in Qom without proper treatment. Currently, due to increased blood sugar he suffers from pain and one of his eyes suffers an infection following the “scratches” and lack of treatment, on the other hand the medical facilities of the prison are very limited and he is prevented being sent to the hospital.

A Report about Arash SAdeghi’s Medical Situation

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi, imprisoned civil rights activist in Evin prison who was on hunger strike, is held in ward 8 of Evin prison. On December 26, he was exanimated in the hospital and the doctors warned about the “risk of coma and even death,” “a serious heart condition” and “risk of a heart attack.”

Making Money from Prisoners Who Need Warm Clothes in Ghezelhesar Prison

HRANA News Agency – While by the order of Prisons Organization, “warm cloths and blankets” should be given to the prisoners usually in December, this year it was banned by prison management and prisoners have to get required warm clothes from the prison shop, which has low quality and much higher prices than outside of prison. The main problem is that most of these prisoners cannot afford such prices.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), receiving clothes and blankets which every year were announced usually in late December as a norm by prisons organization, has been banned by Ghezelhesar prison’s management. Navid Kamran Deprived of Proper Medical Treatment in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Navid Kamran is a civil rights activist who is imprisoned in ward number 8 of Evin prison. Mr. Kamran needs two surgery operations, due to cutting his sensory nerves, motor impairment and platinum implant in his right leg fibula. Despite the recommendation of forensic, he still is being deprived of proper treatment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Navid Kamran who has old injuries on his right leg fibula and ankle, is facing motor impairment and movement difficulties. This problem has become worse due to heating problems in the prison and lack of warm water, and necessity of taking the stairs, and improper beds in the prison.
