HRANA News Agency – Aso Rostami, social and civil rights activist, was released from Evin prison after sixteen months of detention.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Aso Rostami, civil rights activist, had been arrested along with several others after a gathering to support Kobani in front of UN office in Tehran, on Wednesday, 8th October 2014, and after a long time in solitary confinement and interrogation, he was transferred to ward 8 of Evin prison. Contagious Skin Disease Breaks Out In Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – An outbreak of a contagious skin disease and negligence in ward 8 of Evin prison have caused concerns among the inmates and their families. According to one of the prisoners three people have become ill over the past week.

Political Prisoners Face More Problems In Receiving Books: Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – The officials of ward 8 in Evin prison, in a statement and by an illegal action subjected the delivery of all the books to the prisoners, to the approval of the name and author of the books by the prison authorities.
Some of the prisoners say that even with a license by the Ministry of Culture, according to the announcement, the prison decides which book could the prisoners read or not read.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), according to the new notifications and sample forms, from 13th January, prisoners must undergo a long bureaucratic process, should give the title and author’s name in the application form to the manager of ward 8 in Evin and after the agreement with the title and author of the book, they will give the permission to the prisoner to get it. The Situation In Ward 7 Of Evin Prison Remains Tense

HRANA News Agency – After clashes, insulting and beating political prisoners of ward number 7 of Evin prison, these conflicts continued by threatening the political prisoners by convicted guilty prisoners of the great embezzlement. Some of these prisoners complained against Saeid Razavi Faghih and are trying to profile him a case for the allegation of insulting the regime’s top officials.

Authorities Prevent Saeid Hossainzadeh From Being Transferred To The Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Evin prison authorities are preventing Saeid Hossainzadeh from being transferred to the hospital for the process of request for inability to tolerate punishment. The family of this civil rights activist said that they were threatened by the revolutionary guards forces, after reporting about his condition.

1000 Days Without Furlough: Akbar Amini Armaki

HRANA News Agency – Akbar Amini Armaki has served the thousandth day of imprisonment without furlough in Evin prison. He was sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison and five years deprivation of membership in any parties during four years and in three cases. He is in prison since elections of 2013.
On February 15, 2010 Akbar Amini Armaki was detained by the officers of Ministry of Intelligence for the first time in a symbolic protest against the arrests and also encounters with protesters after the presidential elections in 2009 and raising green flag above a construction crane in front of the Tehran Islamic Revolutionary Court. He was under psychological and physical torture in the solitary confinement for months in ward 209 of Evin prison in order to admit to mental instability. The List Of Political Prisoners In The Central Prison Of Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – The following report is a brief of the situation of Tabriz prison and including the list of sentences and charges of 8 political prisoners who are held in 5 different wards despite the principle of separation of inmates. This list contains a labor activist and seven Turkish (Azari) prisoners.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), in Tabriz prison with a capacity of 2500 prisoner, more than about 5000 prisoners are being held which involves most of the crimes and because of overcrowding a large number of them are deprived of having a bed and have to sleep on the floor. Mohammad-Ali Taheri On The 20th Day Of Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Concerns rise over the health of Mohammad-Ali Taheri, the founder of the Interuniversal Mysticism (Erfan-e Halghe), on the 20th day of his hunger strike. According to one of his lawyers and his mother, he has been on hunger strike ever since the January 30th, in protest against prevention of his freedom on the supposed date despite the quashing of his death sentence.

Majid Azarpay Released On The Bail After 8 Months Of Detention

HRANA News Agency – Majid Azarpay, political prisoner was released on the bail after eight months in detention. This reformist activists had been arrested in June and was sentenced to 6 years and 6 months imprisonment and 3 million Tomans fine in the first trial by the 28th branch of the revolutionary court headed by Judge Moghayase.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Majid Azarpay, political activist was arrested in the campaign of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Hassan Rohani by the forces of the revolutionary guards on June 16, 2014 and was held in ward 2-A of Evin prison for two months.
