Seven Prisoners Executed Across Iran Over Three Days

HRANA- Over the past three days, the escalating trend of executions in various prisons across Iran has continued. This report lists the executions of seven prisoners in different prisons, as documented by HRANA. None of these executions have been announced by prison authorities or other responsible institutions.

On Tuesday, November 18, HRANA reported the execution of a prisoner named Samad Haghverdi in Borazjan Prison. According to information received by HRANA, Mr. Haghverdi had previously been arrested on a murder charge and subsequently sentenced to death by the Criminal Court.

On Wednesday, November 19, a prisoner named Fardin Khani was executed in Behbahan Prison. According to information obtained by HRANA, this prisoner had earlier been arrested on a murder charge and later sentenced to death by the Criminal Court.

On the same day, the death sentence of Mohammadreza Hosseini, a prisoner convicted of murder, was carried out in Ilam Prison. Additionally, Peyman Azizi in Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah, Yousef Abadipour in Bushehr Prison, and Akbar Zamani in Shahr-e Kord Prison were all hanged on murder charges.

Today, Thursday, November 19, Kashmar Prison also witnessed the execution of a prisoner named Erfan Azadi, who had been convicted of murder.

Prisoner Executed in Borazjan Prison

HRANA – On Sunday, August 31, 2025, the death sentence of a prisoner previously convicted of murder was carried out in Borazjan Prison, Bushehr province.

HRANA has identified the individual executed at dawn on Sunday as Emad Ghaedi.

Based on information received by HRANA, Mr. Ghaedi had previously been arrested on a charge of murder and later sentenced to death by the Criminal Court.

As of the time of this report, the execution has not been announced by prison officials or other responsible authorities.

In 2024, according to 812 reports compiled by HRANA, the Iranian regime executed 930 individuals in its prisons—marking the highest number of executions in the past 12 years. Despite the scale of these executions, prison officials and other relevant authorities publicly acknowledged only 6% of them, highlighting the regime’s lack of transparency and accountability.

Prisoner Executed in Bushehr Prison

HRANA News Agency – At dawn yesterday, February 20, the execution of a prisoner who had previously been sentenced to death on murder charges was carried out in Bushehr Prison.

Based on information received by HRANA, the prisoner, approximately 35 years old, had committed murder during a dispute in the city of Borazjan and was subsequently sentenced to death by a criminal court.

A knowledgeable source told HRANA: “The victim was one of the managers of a private addiction treatment camp in Borazjan and a resident of the same city. About a year ago, while trying to break up a street fight, he was killed. The murder case was processed swiftly, reaching the execution stage within approximately 18 months. Today, after the victim’s family refused to grant clemency, the convicted individual was executed in prison.”

Further details, including the identity of the prisoner, are still under investigation by HRANA.

As of the time of this report, prison authorities and relevant officials have not publicly announced the execution.

In 2024, the Department of Statistics and Publication of Human Rights Activists in Iran documented 812 cases related to the right to life, including the sentencing of 214 individuals to death and the execution of 930 individuals. Among these, 4 executions were carried out in public. Of those executed, 818 were male, 26 were female, and 5 were juvenile offenders—individuals under 18 years old at the time of their alleged crimes.

Alireza Ramezani Arrested in Tehran

On July 9, 2023, security forces arrested Alireza Ramezani, a Qazvin resident, in Tehran. Simultaneously, his legal case was transferred to the Qazvin Courthouse, according to a reliable source close to his family who spoke with HRANA.

The whereabouts of Ramezani remain unknown, causing great distress for his family.

Previously, in September 2022, Ramezani was apprehended by security forces in Qazvin and imprisoned in Choobindar Prison. He was granted release on bail on October 13, 2022. However, in May 2023, the Qazvin Revolutionary Court sentenced him to one year in prison and imposed a two-year exile in Borazjan, Bushehr province, despite being granted amnesty in February 2022.

Alireza Ramezani, approximately 37 years old, is a father of one child and a former university lecturer.

Former Political Prisoner Mahboobeh Rezaie Arrested

On May 22, 2023, Mahboobeh Rezaie, a former political prisoner, was apprehended by security forces and transported to an undisclosed location.

on Monday, May 22, a team of four male and two female intelligence agents raided Rezaie’s father’s residence, taking her into custody. The exact whereabouts of Rezaie remain unknown, and her family’s inquiries have yet to receive a response.
The motives behind Rezaie’s arrest and the specific charges against her are currently undisclosed.

Rezaie, a resident of Borazjan, Bushehr Provnce. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that she is facing arrest and conviction due to her activism. In June 2022, she was released early from Adelabad prison in Shiraz.

Two prisoners were flogged publicly in Borazjan

HRANA News Agency – Two civilians have been flogged in public in Borazjan and charged with theft.
According to a report by South News, two prisoners were flogged last Thursday.  The prisoners had been sentenced to 70 lashes and 23 years of prison for robbery in eastern part of the country.
Iranian officials have only identified the prisoners by their first initials, A. M. and I. M.  The  two prisoners were found guilty of robbery and insulting women.
