The List of Male Prisoners with the Charge of Muharebeh and Life-Time Sentence

HRANA News Agency – Prisoners who have been charged with Muharebeh according to the old Penal Code, would find the chance of a retrial, after the changes and may receive reduction in their sentences or be released. Currently there are tens of prisoners who have been sentenced to life-time prison on charge of Muharebeh, at least 26 of whom are the men. The following list is the second list of prisoners with the charge of Muharebeh.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), at least 26 male prisoners are sentenced to life-time prison on charge of Muharebeh in different prisons around the country. Due to the changes in the Islamic Penal Code in 2013, these prisoners may request for a retrial. Some might receive reduction in their sentences and some others who have served many years in prison may get released. Despite Authorities’ Denial, HRANA Confirms the Executions in Uremia Prison

HRANA News Agency – Although the families of 7 prisoners including Mohammad Abdollahi’s family had been summoned to Uremia Prison for the last visit and on August 9 the names of 5 executed prisoners were read for the families in front of the prison and at least 4 corpses were delivered to the families, the Head of Prisons Office in West Azerbaijan province denied the execution of 6 prisoners in Uremia prison. However he failed to specify if he denied the number of executed prisoners or the executions in general which has left Mohammad Abdollahi’s family in confusion.

According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), during the last hours of August 7, the families of 7 prisoners who had been taken to solitary confinements were summoned to Uremia Prison to visit their beloved ones for the last time before the execution. Sirvan Nazhavi, Kurdish Political Prisoner Executed in Tabriz Prison

HRANA News Agency – Sirvan Nazhavi, political prisoner, was hanged in the prison of Tabriz.

Hossein Nazhavi, Sirvan Nazhavi’s brother, after announcing this news in an interview with HRANA’s reporter said that during a contact by the prison authorities they had been asked to collect his brother’s body from Tabriz prison, on Sunday afternoon 8th August. No Information About 5 Death Row Prisoners After A Month

HRANA News Agency – There is no news about the faith of Saman Nasim and five other prisoners of Uremia prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saman Nasim, Sirvan Naxhavi, Ibrahim Shapouri, Ali Afshari, Habibolah Afshari and Younes Aghayan were transferred to an unknown location from ward number 12 of Uremia prison in order to be executed, during last February. No Information about Saman Naseem and 5 other Death Row Prisoners’ Fate

HRANA News Agency – After 12 days that death row prisoners, Saman Naseem, Sirvan Nazhavi, Ebrahim Shapoori, Ali afshari, Habibulah Afshari and Younes Aghayan, had been transferred from ward 12 of Central Prison of Ormia, their relatives have not been given a clear answer about them yet.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Saman Naseem, Younes Aghayan, Habibullah Afshari, Ali Afshari, Sirvan Nazhavi and Ebrahim Shapoori (Esapoor) were transferred on Wednesday 18th February, from ward 12 of Ormia prison to an unknown location. The Fate of Saman Naseem and Other Prisoners of Uremia Is still Unclear

HRANA News Agency – Despite many reports and speculation regarding the status of Saman Naseem, Sirvan Naxhavi, Ibrahim Shapoori, Ali Afshari, Habihollah Afshari and Younes Aghayan, prisoners of Uremia prison who are facing death sentences and have disappeared since five days ago, the officials are still not providing clear information regarding their status. This behavior caused concerns about the fate of these prisoners.

3 Ahl-E-Hagh prisoners are exiled from Uremia to Yazd

HRANA News Agency – Bakhsh Ali Mohammadi, Sahand Ali Mohammadi and Ebadollah Ghasem Zadeh, the 3 Ahl-E-Hagh prisoners, are exiled from Uremia to Yazd.

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), these three prisoners of conscience and the followers of Yari ethic Ahl-e-Hagh have been exiled to 2 different prisons in Yazd prison on Monday November 4th. HRANA News Agency –  Younes Aghayan, ethnic prisoner sentenced to death was transferred from Mahabad prison to solitary confinement in Urmia prison, yesterday.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Younes Aghayan, a follower of the Yari faith (Ahl-e Haq), ethnic prisoner who is sentenced to death, was transferred from Mahabad prison to solitary confinement in Urmia prison. There is fear of his execution.

Younes Aghayan on Hunger Strike in Solitary Confinement

HRANA News Agency –  Younes Aghayan, ethnic prisoner sentenced to death who was transferred from Mahabad prison to solitary confinement in Urmia prison on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, is on hunger strike from that day.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Younes Aghayan, a follower of the Yari faith (Ahl-e Haq), ethnic prisoner who is sentenced to death, was transferred from Mahabad prison to solitary confinement in Urmia prison. He is on hunger strike from the day he was transferred to solitary confinement. There is fear of his execution.
