4 Turkish Activists Sentenced to a Total of 45 Years in Prison
HRANA News Agency – The General and Revolutionary Court of Baharestan town, in Tehran, convicted four Turkish activists to a total of 45 years imprisonment and exile. Although the convictions have been made based on charges of organizing illegal groups, but the court documents indicate that they had no violent activities and they have been active mostly in the field of cultural and linguistic issues.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), based on a verdict issued by the General and Revolutionary Court of Baharestan town, in Tehran, Mr. Akbar Azad, journalist and researcher has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and 2 years exile in Dareh Shahr of Ilam province, Mr. Alireza Farshi has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and 2 years exile in Bagh-e Malek of Khozestan province, Mr. Behnam Sheikhi has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and 2 years exile in Masjed Soleiman of Khozestan, and Hamid Manafi has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and 2 years exile in Azna city of Lorestan province. Torture, Harassment and Humiliation, the Story of Noor Ahmad Hassan Zehi
HRANA News Agency – Noor Ahmad Hassan Zehi, Baloch political prisoner, is serving a sentence of 28 years imprisonment in exile, in the prison of Ardebil. This prisoner has numerous experiences of physical and psychological tortures being done to him, and in part of his narrative, he says: “One of the physical tortures was that, they tied me to the bed, which they call it a miracle bed, in a way that
they laid me down on the bed and handcuffed my hands and feet, tied together, with ropes and tied my thumb separately with tightrope to avoid any movement, and then with a thick cable brutally hit on the soles of the feet.”

A 17-Year-Old Activist Arrested in Ahvaz
HRANA News Agency – Ali Kab Aamir, 17, from Kian Abad in Ahvaz was arrested by the Ahvaz intelligence office at his house. The hand of the teenager broke while being arrested as a result of his resistance and protest of his family. It is said that his mother was shocked and is hospitalized due to her critical condition.

A Pedestrian Shot Dead by the Police
HRANA News Agency – The police’s effort to stop a motorcycle resulted in the death of a pedestrian. Two other citizens were injured.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), following the police’s pursue of a motorcycle with two passengers, police forces started shooting at them. Mehdi Kokhian Restarted His Hunger Strike by Sewing His Lips
HRANA News Agency – Mehdi Kokhian activist from Malakan, has gone on hunger strike by sewing his lips again in Maragheh prison, to protest against breach in promises made by the authorities. This political prisoner has symbolically sewed his ears as well to “avoid hearing the officials’ insults”.
