A Prisoner in Critical Condition Because of Psychological Pressures in Ghezelhesar Prison
HRANA News Agency – Majid Keshvari, a prisoner with mental illness in Ghezelhesar prison, who had committed suicide, is again on the verge of suicide because of the complexity of his situation. The prison’s psychiatrist had prescribed medications and tablets due to Mr. Keshvari’s severe depression, but prison officials denied him the medication delivery. On the other hand they prevented his transfer to the hall where the prisoners are monitored by doctors. In the prison computer his attempt to suicide has been recorded as “food poisoning” and his family’s complaint to the Prisons General Directory Office has not had any outcome yet.

Dozens of Civilians Arrested in Bukan
HRANA News Agency – Security forces raided the home of a large number of civilians in Bukan in an organized attack, and while beating them arrested a numerous number of them. There are dozens arrested, including “youth and some of the imams and scholars and students of Islamic madrasas.”

Rasoul Razavi on Hunger Strike since 1 Month Ago

Political Prisoners Reject to Be Released with Electric Shackles
HRANA News Agency – Between 4 and 11 October, at least three political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj were called to be released by the electronic fasteners plan. The prisoners are required to pay 30 million IRR for “the price of the shackles” and 2 million and half IRR as “the fee charged”. Two of the prisoners did not accept this kind of freedom.

Increasing Problems of Sunni Prisoners in Rajaei Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – With the beginning of the cold season, Sunni prisoners in Rajaei Shahr prison in Karaj are spending a hard time due to low standard of the remote ward that they are being kept in. The doors and the windows are not standard and there is no proper heating system. This condition has made the situation even harder for the ill prisoners.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), currently 50 Sunni prisoners are being kept in hall number 21 of section 7 of Rajaei Shahr prison.
