Maryam Naghash Zargaran on the 26th Day of Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – The mental and physical condition of Maryam (Nasim) Naghash Zargaran, Christian convert is not good on the 26th day of her hunger strike in Evin prison. Ms. Zargaran suffers from “severe depression”, her blood pressure is very low and she suffers from pain and numbness in her legs. Although the coroner has confirmed her heart disease, the security institutions are preventing her from having parole.

Hassan Rastgari Majd Beaten in Urmia Prison

HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastgari Majd, political prisoner in Urmia Prison was beaten by prison guards. A number of his teeth were broken. Mr. Rastgari is suffering of vision problems and also hand fracture.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the political prisoner in Urmia Prison was beaten by two of prison guards after he insisted on his request of being transferred to the political prisoners’ ward, based on the principal of separation of crimes. 6 Civil Activists Sentenced to Imprisonment in Gachsaran

HRANA News Agency – Abbas Mohammad Sadegh Pour, Ehsan Arshadi, Abdullah Alirezanejad, Mohammadreza Mobaraki and Mehran Zaki, Mojtaba Pourhassan, six civilians from Gachsaran in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province were sentenced to suspended prison sentences and banned membership in political parties on charge of insulting the Supreme Leader and propaganda against the state.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abbas Mohammad Sadegh Pour, Ehsan Arshadi, Abdullah Alirezanejad, Mohammadreza Mobaraki, Mehran Zaki and Mojtaba Pourhassan, six civilians from Dill village in Gachsaran in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province were sentenced to suspended prison sentences and banned membership in political parties. Prison Authorities Prevent Mohammad Reza Nekounam from Being Transferred to the Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Transferring dissident cleric, Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam, prisoner in the Saheli prison in Qom, to the hospital is being still prevented. This is while the pressures on this writer and lecturer continue.

“The Last Protest”; Music Video for Younes Asakereh’s Daughter

HRANA News Agency – The music video “The last protest”, composed and performed by Amir Sarikhani was to the young daughter of Younes Asakereh, the peddler from Khoramshahr, who set himself in fire as a protest, in March 2015. Negar Parsaei has written the poetry.

According to report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Younes Asakereh, Arab citizen from Khorramshahr, set himself in fire in front of the municipal building of the city due to the confiscation of his fruit stand by the municipality and because of desperation, which led to his death in March 2015. All Executed Prisoners in Rajai Shahr Prison Identified by HRANA

HRANA News Agency – On July 13, 6 prisoners were executed on charge of murder in Rajai Shahr prison. The prisoners along with five other prisoners had been transferred to solitary confinements of the prison on July 10. 5 of the prisoners were transferred to their wards and their sentences were not carried out by the consent of the plaintiffs. Political Prisoners of Uremia Prison Threatened by the Authorities

HRANA News Agency – At least three political prisoner of Uremia prison who are being kept in general wards, have been summoned to prison security office and threatened for their friendship with prisoners in political prisoners’ ward.

Police Headquarters Reacted to HRANA’s Report about Sajad Tofighian

HRANA News Agency – Police headquarters of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province reacted to HRANA’s report by releasing a statement, about a Dehdasht resident who went to coma after being beaten by police forces. This police headquarter denied to have beaten Sajad Tofighian, and claimed that one the police forces was injured by him, and he went to hospital due to side effects of taking pills. This is contradicting the witnesses, Tofighian family, press and local authorities’ claims who believed that this civilian was beaten by police forces.

The Number of Executions in Rajai Shahr Prisoner Rises to Six

HRANA News Agency – The number of executed prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison increased to six. On July 18, 10 prisoners were transferred to solitary confinements in the prison to be executed, four of them with the consent or deadlines returned to their wards. Six prisoners have been executed.
