3 Prisoners Returned to Prison / One Sent on Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Two ill prisoners, Afif Naimi and Karim Maroof Aziz returned from the hospital to Rajai Shahr prison. Also, Asghar Qattan, other political prisoner, returned to the prison by the end of his furlough. On the other hand, Farhad Beiruti, political prisoner, was sent on leave from Mahabad prison.

7 Sunni Prisoners Sentenced to Death by the Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – On May 25, 2016, the death sentences of seven Sunni prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison was notified to them. This verdict was issued by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court headed by judge Moghiseh.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Davood Abdollahi, Kamran Sheikhi, Farhad Salimi, Anvar Khezri, Khosrow Besharat, Ghasem Abesteh and Ayoub Karimi, are the seven Sunnis prisoners who were detained since December 7, 2009 and have been sentenced to death. Specific Prisoners not Allowed to Meet Authorities Visiting Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – On June 1, 2016, before the arrival of a delegation of high-ranking officials of the Human Rights Council of the Judiciary to visit the Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, prisoners who were thought to tend to protest, including “Behnam Ebrahimzadeh” imprisoned labor activist were transferred to the security office violently and were held there until the end of the visit of the delegation. This caused the protests of the prisoners.
According to the report of the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), some of the prisoners who were thought to tend to protest, including “Behnam Ebrahimzadeh” imprisoned labor activist were taken to the security office violently and were held there until the end of the visit of the delegation. HRANA News Agency – The hearing of Mohammad Karimi at Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran was not held because of the absence of the judge on June 1, 2016.

Hashmatollah Tabarzadi still under Detention

HRANA News Agency – Hashmatollah Tabarzadi, political activist who has been arrested on Tuesday, May 17, in the street and taken to Evin Prison is kept in the prison in uncertainty. Mr. Tabarzadi’s family announced the end of his “hunger strike” and sending his case to the Revolutionary Court in Tehran.

At Least 5 Political Prisoners on Hunger Strike in Different Prisons

HRANA News Agency – At least 5 political prisoners namely Ehsan Mazandarani, Jafar Aimzadeh, Rasul Razavi, Mohammad Abdullahi and Ayat Mehr Ali Beygloo are on hunger strike in different prisons, in protest to their conditions. The physical condition of some of them is reported to be critical.
According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ehsan Mazandarani, Jafar Azimzadeh, Rasoul Razavi, Heshmatollah Tabarzadi, Mohammad Abdollahi and Ayat Mehr Ali Beygloo are still on hunger strike in Evin, Rajai Shahr, Urmieh and Tabriz prisons in protest to their situations. Arash Sadeghi Arrested to Serve the Sentence of 19 Years

1 Kulbar Killed and 4 Wounded by the Border Guards

HRANA News Agency – On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, a Kulbar was killed and four others were seriously injured after being shot by border guards in Salmas.
