Mohammad Saeid Naderi Released after 6 Days under Detention

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Saeid Naderi, former student of Yasouj University, was released after six days of detention by the security forces.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Saeid Naderi, a former physics student at the University of Yasouj, was arrested by three plainclothes officers of the security forces who were probably from Basij or Ilam Revolutionary Guards in the city of Ivan (located in Ilam province) at his father home on Thursday morning March17, 2016. Appeals Court Upheld Sentences of 5 Civil Rights Activists

HRANA News Agency – The sentences of five Turk (Azeri) activists who had protested at the television program “Fitileh” has been confirmed by the appeals court of Ardabil province. According to the sentence each of the defendants should serve 91 days in prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), judge Yosef Khodadadi of Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Ardebil had sentenced five of these activists on the charge of “participation in the illegal gathering and collusion to disrupt the national security against” to three months and one day. Injured Prisoners Kept without Medical Treatment in Rajaei Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Rajaei Shahr prison authorities have kept some of the injured prisoners in an environment without light and without sanitary tools while depriving them of the medical treatment as a punishment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), some prisoners who are speculated to have taken part in recent mass conflict inside the prison, are being kept in an inhumane condition, in violation to all current laws and by arbitrary decisions made by prison authorities, in hall number 33 of section 10 of this prison. 2 Civil Rights Activists Acquitted of the Charges in the Court

HRANA News Agency – Sina Ershadi and Siamak Saifi, two residents of Meshkinshar were acquitted of the charge of propaganda against the regime.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), branch number 102 of the criminal court of Meshkinshahr acquitted Sina Ghorban Ershadi and Simak Saifi of the charge of propaganda against the regime by chanting separatists Azeri slogans. Hossain Rounaghi Maleki on the 2nd Day of Hunger Strike in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Relatives of Hossain Rounaghi Maleki, ill political prisoner of Evin prison, say that he is on hunger strike. Ahmad Rounaghi Maleki, his father announced that if the situation continued as it was, he would also start hunger strike.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hossain Rounaghi Maleki, blogger and ill prisoner of Evin prison, despite the recommendations from prison clinic, hospital physicians and forensics insisting that he had to be sent to a medical centre outside of the prison, is being still kept in the prison. In protest to sabotage that has been carried out on the process of his transfer to the hospital has started a hunger strike since March 26. Conflict between Prisoners in Rajaei Shahr Prison; At Least 1 Prisoner Killed

HRANA News Agency – During a conflict between prisoners in Rajaei Shahr prison, where many political prisoner are imprisoned as well, at least three people were injured by knife and another prisoner has been murdered. The atmosphere inside the prison is reported to be very tense.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj, which is categorized by bureau of prison to be a place for prisoners with violent crimes, is also the biggest place for political-security prisoners in exile. Under the weak management and lack of proper supervision this prison has become a dangerous place. In the recent days a group conflict occurred between prisoners of hall number 18 in ward number 6. A Short Report about the Situation of Sunni Prisoners in Rajaei Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – There are more than 70 Sunni prisoners kept in Rajaei Shahr prison with political-security charges, 42 of whom are imprisoned with the sentences between 5 to 20 years and are being kept in hall number 21 of ward number 7, and at least 30 prisoners with death sentences who are kept in hall number 10 of ward 4 of the prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), more than 70 Sunni prisoners are kept in Rajaei Shahr prison with security and political allegations and have received their sentences under sacrilege charge. These prisoners are usually residents of western parts of Iran and are kept kilometers far from their hometown.
