5 Civil Rights Activists Went to Ardebil Prison

HRANA News Agency – Five civil rights activists named Rahim Gholami, Ali Vaseghi, Ali Kheyrjoo, Morteza Parvin, Mehrdad Shahbazi and Behruz Shahbazi were sent to Ardebil prison for serving their three-months-imprisonment and thirty lashes sentences.
According to the report of the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), each of these activists had been sentenced to three months in prison and thirty lashes in November 2015 on charges of “disturbing the public order and welfare by ethnic and nationalist slogans in the football stadium”. Mostafa Azizi Returned to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mostafa Azizi went back to the prison after the end of his New Year furlough. It is expected more political prisoners will return to the prison soon.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mostafa Azizi, writer and well-known artist went back to prison by the end of his New Year furlough. Mohammad Amin Agooshi Transferred to Central Prison of Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Amin Agooshi, political prisoner from Piranshar prison, presented himself to Tabriz prison to continue his sentence and is held in military prisoners’ ward.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Amin Agooshi, prisoner of Zahedan Central prison, who had been on furlough, in a conversation with HRANA’s reporter, said: “After spending 7 years and 8 months of my sentence, I received a letter regarding my transfer to Tabriz prison, on 7th February, and I presented myself to Tabriz prison to serve the remaining of my sentence, on 22nd March”. Sunni Civilians Shot while Exiting the Mosque

HRANA News Agency – Unknown armed terrorists fired on people who were exiting a Sunni mosque on Friday. A civilian was killed. The video is showing moments after the attack.

Amnesty International: Further Sentence of Yousef Kakehmami for Sending Letter to Ahmad Shaheed

HRANA News Agency – Amnesty International condemned the further 5 years in prison sentence for Yousef Kakehmami, prisoner of Uremia prison, who wrote a letter to Ahmad Shaheed the UN special rapporteur and demanded his immediate action.

Amnesty International Expresses Concern about Afshin Sohrabzadeh’s Situation

HRANA News Agency – Amnesty International in a statement called for immediate action on the situation of political prisoner, Afshin Sohrabzadeh, Kurdish prisoner exiled in Minab prison, who is suffering from severe gastritis and respiratory problems.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Amnesty International in a statement along with the request for urgent action, has announced that, Afshin Sohrabzadeh, a member of Iran’s Kurdish minority who is serving his 25 years imprisonment in exile in a remote prison, south of Hormozgan province, is in dire need of special medical treatment outside the prison. He is in a situation that his life is in danger, and being long away from a proper treatment has exacerbated this situation. 5 Political Prisoners on Hunger Strike in Different Prisons

HRANA News Agency – Hossein Ronaghi Maleki, Saeed Razavi Faqih, Iraj Hatami, Farid Azmodeh and Behzad Tarahomi are five political-security prisoners on hunger strike in different prisons.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Hossein Ronaghi Maleki and Saeed Razavi Faqih are two political prisoners and patients in ward 7 of Evin prison who are on the 4th and 7th day of their hunger strike because of lack of investigation to their therapeutic situation. Child Bride from Afghanistan Beaten by the Husband and Abandoned in the Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Sakineh Uzbek, Afghan refugee child who was thrown from the balcony of the third floor after being beaten by her husband, has been abandoned in Shariati Hospital by the law enforcement officials without treatment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sakineh Uzbek, 15-year-old Afghan refugee and graduated from autonomous school for Afghan children and resident in Sabashahr who was thrown from the balcony of the third floor after being beaten by her husband, has been abandoned in Shariati Hospital and her family and husband has abandoned her and the hospital due to the high costs of the treatment (seven millions Toman) refuse to cooperate while the law enforcement authorities have taken no action in this regard so far. Another Juvenile Offender in Sanandaj Prison Sentenced to Death

HRANA News Agency – With issuing of another death sentence for a juvenile offender in Sanandaj Prison, the number of prisoners who are sentenced to death for an offence they have committed while being a juvenile, has rose to 5.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), a juvenile offender (K.N) imprisoned at Sanandaj Prison, who at the time of crime was 17 years and 9 months old,  was sentenced to death by retaliation in kind (Qisas) for murder. Arjang Davoudi’s Death Sentence Reduced to 5 Years Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Arjang Davoudi, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison says; his death sentence has been reduced to five years imprisonment in exile. He should be ready by 14th June to be exiled to Zabul prison.
