HRANA News Agency – Seyed Mostafa Tajzadeh, political prisoners in Evin prison was released after serving seven years in prison on June 3, 2016.

Afshin Sohrabzadeh Was Beaten by Prison Authorities

HRANA News Agency – The head of Minab prison, Saleh Barezi, has beaten Afshin Sohrabzadeh, exiled political prisoner who is diagnosed with cancer, and forced him to sleep on the floor. He also threatened other prisoners not to give their bed to him to rest. This is while prison authorities has confirmed officially in writing that Mr. Sohrabzadeh is dying.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Afshin Sohrabzadeh, exiled political prisoner who is diagnosed with cancer, was beaten by the head of the security of Minab prison, Saleh Barezi during inspections in the ward. Mahmoud Masumi Transferred to Great Prison of Tehran

HRANA News Agency – On June 6, Mahmoud Masumi, student who had been arrested in front of Dena Tire building, was transferred to Great Prison of Tehran (Fashafoyeh), once again. The reason for his transfer to the prison is still unknown.

Destruction of a Park in Piranshahr Caused Residents’ Protest

HRANA News Agency – Green Space of “Farhang Park” in the city of Piranshahr of Western Azerbaijan province in the wake of disputed claims of ownership of land was demolished on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Following this action the residents protested. So far, authorities have not given any explanation in this regard and it was supposed that citizens would continue their protest on the next days.
