A Death Row Prisoner on Hunger Strike in Rajaei Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – A death row prisoner, who has started hunger strike in protest to discriminatory behavior of prison’s internal manager, is kept with handcuff and shackles in clinic of Rajaei Shahr prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Azizi, a prisoner who has been sentenced to death, started hunger strike a week ago, in protest to being transferred to another hall, which he claims to be because of discriminatory behavior of internal manager of prison. 2 Political Prisoners Sent to Furlough, 1 to Hospital
HRANA News Agency – Two political prisoners of ward 7 of Evin prison named Iraj Gharibi and Hamidreza Derakhshandeh are granted furlough from prison; moreover, Gholamreza Hosseini another prisoner kept in the same ward has been transferred to the hospital following a severe health condition.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Iraj (Esmail) Gharibi, Hamidreza Derakhshandeh and Gholamreza Hosseini received imprisonment sentences of five, seven and nine years respectively on charge of “cooperating with hostile governments” at Branch 15 of Tehran Revolutionary Court under Judge Salavati. HRANA News Agency – Behnam Mousivand, civil activist who had shown up at Evin prison on Monday June 13 to serve his sentence, was transferred from the quarantine of ward 4 to ward 8 of this prison.

HRANA News Agency – Abdolfattah Soltani, lawyer and political prisoner in ward 350 of Evin prison, was sent to furlough unexpectedly and attended his mother’s fortieth day of mourning on June 26.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Abdolfattah Soltani, imprisoned lawyer was sent to furlough on June 26 while he had requested to see his mother, but the delay of prison officials led to her death without seeing her son. Pressures Grow on Political Prisoners in Rajaee Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – In the wake of the on-going persecution and restrictions on political prisoners of Rajaee Shahr prison in Karaj, at least ten prisoners were deprived of going to the clinic due to refusing to wear prison slippers. Some of these prisoners were deprived of weekly visits with the families for the same reason.
