HRANA News Agency – Hossein Alimohammadi Alvar and Seyed Taha Kermani, two civil activists in Tabriz, after being sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by branch 3 of Tabriz revolutionary court, appealed in due time and requested the Court of Appeal’s reconsideration.
Their lawyers, Jafar Afsharnia and Amir Bakhshi on Monday 15th June, made an appeal against the issued verdict by the delivery bill to the court, objecting the contradictions of the verdict including “not providing any evidence indicating the guilt” and “violation of the principle of innocence” and asked for a hearing and accurate legal proceedings on the cases of their clients. Hossein Rafei Arrested in Tehran
HRANA News Agency – Hossein Rafei, political activist and member of the Nationalist-religious Activists Council was arrested.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Hossein Rafei was arrested and taken to an unknown location Tuesday 16th June. This political activist had been arrested earlier in 2000 and was sentenced to three years imprisonment and apparently his current arrest is due to that old verdict, although, based on the law, after a lapse of 15 years the old verdict should be invalid. Sasan Haqiri Begins a One-Year Sentence in Isfahan
HRANA News Agency – Mr. Sasan Haqiri, a Bahai from Isfahan, has begun a one-year sentence in the city’s central prison, on charges of propaganda against the regime and society, and conspiracy against national security.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), he was one of the Bahais arrested on July 21, 2012, in widespread raids by security forces in cities and towns in Isfahan province. HRANA News Agency – The following list includes the political prisoners of women’s section of Evin Prison in Tehran. These prisoners have been sentenced in total to more than 190 years of imprisonment.
