A Student Arrested in Ahvaz

HRANA News Agency – Sepideh Gholian, a student from Ahvaz, was arrested by the security forces, at his father’s house and was taken to an unknown location.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the security forces arrested Sepideh Gholian, born in 1995, a fourth semester student of veterinary from Ahvaz and resident of this city at her father’s house and took her to an unknown location on February 24, 2017. A Civil Rights Activist Arrested in Kermanshah

HRANA News Agency – Security forces have arrested Farzaneh Jalali, civil rights activist in Kermanshah, while she was doing some administrative formalities in bureaus of registry, and transferred her to an unknown location.

Shahnaz Akmali Released on the Bail

HRANA News Agency – Shahnaz Akmali, Mostafa Karimbaigi’s mother, whose son was one of the victims of aftermath of presidential election of 2009 who was released on the bail temporarily from Evin prison.

Atena Daemi on Hunger Strike in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Atena Daemi, imprisoned human rights activist in Evin Prison, has gone on hunger strike in protest against “the fake case” and judicial condemnation of her family members. Ms. Daemi has lost 10 kg weight and has physical problems.

HRANA News Agency – Two sisters of Atena Daemi, imprisoned human rights defender, were acquitted of the accusations made by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, based on a warrant issued recently by Shahid Moghadas Court, in Evin.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ensieh and Hanieh Daemi, two sisters of Atena Daemi, human rights defender who is imprisoned in women’s ward in Evin prison, were acquitted of the accusations made by the Revolutionary Guards, based on a warrant issued recently by Branch 4 of Shahid Moghadas Court in Evin. Leila Haghighatjo Transferred to Women’s Ward of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Leila Haghighatjo, sister of Fatemeh Haghighatjo, Member of Parliament in the sixth session from Tehran, after being held in ward 209 of Evin prison for 42 days, was transferred to the women’s ward of this prison.

Masoumeh Zia under Detention by the Order of Court of Media and Culture

HRANA News Agency – Tehran court of culture and media, issued a one-month detention order for Masoumeh (Pegah) Zia and the interrogator has informed her family that that should immediately hire a lawyer for her. Ms. Zia was arrested in Tehran Imam Khomeini airport while returning from a trip abroad.

Marjan Davari Sentenced to Death and Transferred to Garchak Prison

HRANA News Agency – A 50-year-old researcher and translator has been sentenced to death in late January. She was transferred from women’s ward in Evin to Rey prison (Gharchak of Varamin) at the same time. One of the charges against Ms. Davari is membership in Eckankar. This verdict has recently submitted to her.

Parvaneh Hosseinpanahi Arrested in Dehgolan

HRANA News Agency – Parvaneh Hosseinpanahi was arrested by the Intelligence Office plainclothes in Dehgolan. Eghbal Hosseinpanahi, her husband was also detained after being informed about his wife’s arrest, when he attended this bureau.
