An Iranian and a Turkish Citizen Sentenced to Imprisonments in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Iraj Derafshi and Ugur Chalabi were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by branch 15 of Revolutionary Court, while they were not allowed to get a lawyer.

8 Political Prisoners on Hunger Strike in Evin and Rajai Shahr Prisons

HRANA News Agency – Following prisoners’ protests against compulsory stay in prison courtyard “to get some fresh air” in winter weather while prisoners do not have appropriate warm cloth, 8 political prisoners in ward 8 of Evin prison were transferred to solitary confinements and subsequently, they went on hunger strike. Recent news suggests that, Saeid Shirzad has been beaten and transferred to Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), following a guild complain by prisoners in ward 8 of Evin prison regarding a compulsory use of ward courtyard in the cold weather while there is a lack of warm clothing, on Monday noon, Aso Rostami, Amir Amirgholi and Amir Hushang Navaei, were taken to solitary confinements and so they went on hunger strike. Saman Naseem’s Fate Is Unclear

HRANA News Agency – There is no information about Saman Naseem, death row political prisoner, who was arrested when he was just 17 years old.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), according to the family and the lawyer of Saman Naseem, he has been transferred to an unknown location three days ago, while he was supposed to be executed on Tuesday, on charge of Muharebeh by being a member of PJAK. 3 Political Prisoners Tried in Tehran Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – Reza Shahabi, Kamran Ayazi and Omid Zareinejad, were tried for charge of propaganda against the regime which was alleged to them after the events on 17th April (Guards’ riot to ward 350) at branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court.

HRANA News Agency – Even after a month of transition of Arjang Davoodi and Afshin Baimani to solitary confinement, relatives of these two prisoners have expressed their concern about their situations.

6 Political Prisoners Started Hunger Strike at Evin Prison in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Following a complain regarding compulsory use of prison’s yard “to get some fresh air” in winter weather and lack of warm clothing for prisoners in ward 8 of Evin prison, Amir Amirgholi, Aso Rostami and Amir Hushang Navaei were taken to solitary confinements, and they went on hunger strike. Also, 3 other prisoners went on hunger strike until those inmates would be returned to the ward from solitary confinements.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on Monday 16th February, despite the winter cold weather and lack of warm clothing, prisoners of ward 8 in Evin prison were forced by prison officials to stay in the prison yard. No Information about Ali Moezi in Solitary Confinement

HRANA New Agency – There is no information about the condition of Ali Moezi, who was transferred again to solitary confinement on 3rd January.

HRANA News Agency – The book “Human Rights Atlas” was published by Mehdi Khodaei and Omid Kokabi’s effort, with a foreword of Abdolfatah Soltani. This educational book is translated and compiled in Evin prison, by these prisoners.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), “Human Rights Atlas” was compiled by Seyed Mehdi Khodaei and Omid Kokabi’s cooperation, 2 famous Iranian prisoners in Evin prison, with a foreword from Abdolfatah Soltani, imprisoned human rights activist lawyer, and was published by “A’rman Shahr” publisher.
