The Newest List of Political Prisoners in Women’s Ward of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – In women’s ward of Evin prison, known as Nesvan ward, there are many mothers along with other women who are kept in a bad environment, phone calls are not allowed and visits are very limited. This report is trying to give an overview about the condition and status of 24 female political-security prisoners in this prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), currently, 32 female prisoners are kept in this ward with different charges, two of whom have financial charges and 30 of them are political-security prisoners. Zhila Shahryari Transferred to Women’s Ward of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Zhila Shahryari who had been arrested by security forces in Tehran on August 10, was transferred to women’s ward of Evin prison after twenty days been in ward 209 of Evin prison on August 31.

Video Footage of Last Words of Executed Prisoners in Karaj

HRANA News Agency – On September 5, 12 prisoners on drug-related charges were hanged in Central Prison in Karaj. They were executed while Ahmad Shaheed, UN special rapporteur on human rights in Iran called to stop these executions.

Ahmad Montazeri Released on the Bail

HRANA News Agency – Ahmad Montazeri, son of Ayatollah Montazeri showed up at Qom Special Court for Clergies for the sixth time on September 5, because of publishing his father’s audio file about executions of political prisoners in Iran in 1988. He was charged and temporarily released on the bail of 700 million IRR until the next hearing.
