Death on Two Prisoners in One Week in Ghezelhesar Prison in Karaj

HRANA News Agency – Two prisoners died in Ghezelhesar prison in Karaj. One of these prisoners passed away despite going to prison clinic; but because of failing in diagnosing the heart problem he died hours later. The other prisoner died due to over dosing of methadone while hoping to gather 10 million IRR.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), two prisoners with the names of Dariush Mansouri and Mahmood Valipoor died due to respectively, heart attack and methadone overdose, in section number two of Ghezelhesar prison of Karaj. Rubin Shahini Released on the Bail

HRANA News Agency – Gholamreza (Rubin) Shahini, Iranian-American citizen detained in Gorgan prison, was released on the bail of 2000 million IRR.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Gholamreza (Rubin) Shahini, political prisoner and Iranian-American citizen, was released on the bail of 2000 million IRR from Amirabad prison in Gorgan.
A wide campaign on social media had been held to demand his freedom.
A source close to Mr. Shahini announced this news and told HRANA’s reporter: “This political prisoner with dual citizenship, who suffers from asthma, after his hunger strike, which last more than a month was in a bad physical and mental condition and foreign news media had given extensive coverage on the campaign and his hunger strike. Reza Shahini has been sentenced to 18 years imprisonment by a court in Gorgan, when he returned to Iran.”
Gholamreza (Robin) Shahini, (borne in 1969 – in Dezyani Village) Iranian-American citizen, graduated in international security and solving conflicts, at the University of San Diego, was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment on charges of “collaboration with the Voice of America as part of the hostile country, America, and attending related TV programs, propaganda activities against the Islamic Republic of Iran and in favor of groups and organizations opposing the regime, membership in associations of opposition, including monarchists and…., seducing and inciting people to disrupt security and insulting the funder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei,  by Branch one of the Revolutionary Court in Gorgan, presided by Judge Seyed Ebrahim Mousavi.
Gholamreza Shahini, who used to live in USA for more than 16 years had traveled to Iran to meet his family in July 2016 and was arrested in Gorgan by the Ninawa Corps, in Golestan province.
Mr. Shahini, in an open letter that was provided to HRANA, had announced: “I am not a member of any political party. According to my perspective, during a visit to Iran in 2009, which was concurrent with the green movement, I also participated in peaceful protests that according to the constitution is recognized as a right for citizens”, and added: “My only sin was that I, as a liable human being expressed my thoughts about my home land, which is a right of all citizens”.

45 Prisoners under Harsh Condition in Fashafouyeh Prison

HRANA News Agency – It is more than three months that about 45 prisoners, due to a personal decision by the authorities of Tehran (Fashafouyeh) prison, have been separated from other prisoners in a small hall and “closed up”, and isolated. These prisoners have been deprived of the right of having contact and family visits, access to the prison store, and sanitary ration. It has been reported that a number of prisoners are ill, but they are being deprived of medical services.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), about 45 prisoners who are held in Tehran prison (Fashafouyeh), have been moved from their ward and isolated in a small place for more than 3 months without judicial warrant and solely on the personal and illegal decision by the authorities. A Report about Latest Status of Arash Sadeghi

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi, civil rights activist who is imprisoned in ward 350 of Evin prison, is still deprived of being sent to hospital. Secrete of some enzymes resulted in inability to digest food, and intestinal adhesion has made his condition even worse. One of his kidneys has been lost and his heart’s muscles have deteriorated.

Koorosh Zaeim Sent to Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Koorosh Zaeim, senior political prisoner and member of central council of National Front of Iran was sent to a 6-day furlough. In another news Omid Alishenas, civil rights activist returned to prison after the end of his furlough.

Lack of Water in Khorin Prison in Varamin

HRANA News Agency – Since about a month ago the hot water and from one week ago, the cold water in Khorin prison in Varamin have been cut off. These have caused hygiene and health problems because prisoners do not have water to take a shower. On the other hand, prisoners are forced to buy drinking water from the prison shop on a high price. Prison officials say that there is a flaw in the technical system and also the lack of funds to fix it, are the cause of the crisis, which threatens the health and lives of several thousand prisoners.
A number of prisoners and families of prisoners of Khorein prison, located in Kheirabad of Varamin, have told HRANA: “It is more than a month that the prisoners had not taken shower, because hot water was cut off and it is more than a week that cold water has been cut off in this prison, as well.” Continue reading “Lack of Water in Khorin Prison in Varamin”

Shahin Aghdami Went on Hunger Strike for a ‘Limited Time’

HRANA News Agency – Jafar (Shahin) Aghdami, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, shaved his hair and has gone on hunger strike for a limited time in protest of the unconventional inspecting of families and young children in the visiting room at Rajai Shahr prison.

Arash Sadeghi Transferred to Evin Prison’s Clinic

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi, civic activist in ward 350 of Evin Prison, following the “deterioration” of his condition, was transferred to infirmary in Evin prison. The infirmary doctor insisted that he needed a protein injection, due to severe protein deficiency, which should be done in a hospital because of the risk of blood clots. This prisoner has faced chronic inflammatory diseases of the airways (asthma), bleeding in the stomach and intestinal colitis in the shade denial of medical attention, in the aftermath of hunger strike.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), according to the prison doctor that examined Arash Sadeghi, this prisoner needs a protein injection, due to extreme protein deficiency because of his stomach inability to eat solid food and not be disposed of in the large intestine. The doctor has said that if Arash Sadeghi would not receive protein then his heart, liver and kidneys would suffer more than before.
