A source informed HRANA that “they were detained for distributing flyers pertaining to protests and have been placed in the quarantine section of Ilam Prison.”
As per this source, they have been accused of “spreading propaganda against the regime.”
Haal Vsh confirmed that on July 13, Saman Salari (33), Mehdi Shariati (35), and Rashid Dahmardeh (50) were executed at Jiroft Prison, located in Kerman province. Dahmardeh’s arrest dates back to 2018-2019 when he was accused of drug-related crimes. The other two prisoners were convicted of murder.
Additionally, the Iran Human Rights Organization reported the execution of Hossein-Ali Zarooni in Ilam Prison on July 12. Zarooni was charged with the murder of his sister’s husband and had allegedly killed two police officers during an escape from a police checkpoint.
According to the verdict, Karimi has been given five years for charges of “assembly and collusion against national security,” two years for “insulting the Supreme Leader of Iran,” and two years for “insulting the former Supreme Leader of Iran.”
If the verdict is upheld on appeal, the five-year sentence for the first charge will be enforced. Karimi was arrested by security forces on September 21, 2022, in Eyvan Gharb, Ilam province. He was released on February 6, 2023, after posting a two-billion-toman bail from Ilam Prison.
Furthermore, the Human Rights Organization disclosed that Ali Mula Shamsi, aged 40, was executed on June 18, 2023, in Zanjan Prison. Shamsi had been convicted of drug-related offenses.
Additionally, Iran Newspaper covered the execution of an inmate in Gorgan Prison. According to the publication, a man named Hamed, along with six others, including two brothers of the victim, was involved in the killing of Mahmood.
In 2022, the Department of Statistics and Publication of Human Rights Activists in Iran registered 457 reports related to the death penalty. This included 92 death sentences, including the conviction of 6 people to public execution and 565 execution sentences were carried out, 2 of which have been carried out in public. Based on the announced identifications of some of the executed individuals, 501 were male and 11 were female. In addition, 5 juvenile offenders were executed in 2022, meaning they were under the age of 18 at the time they committed the crime.

Also, Kurdpa reported the execution of Hamid Rahimi in Sanandaj Prison and Mohmmad-Rasoul Cholaki in Ilam Prison on February 26 and 22, respectively. Both were previously convicted of murder.

Iran Human Rights Organization also reported the execution of an inmate identified as Omid Karimi in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan, on the same day.
Karimi, reportedly, was sentenced to death for murder four years ago.
